As Laboratory Technician you will actively participate in routine Tissue Culture activities within our Technology Application domain. The position offers exposure to the state-of-the-art cell biology and tissue culture technologies applied to a wide variety of ornamental crops in a competitive and dynamic environment. You will actively take part in a young and dynamic team; good communication skills and team-player mentality are valued in all our lab personnel. The reporting line is directed to Team Lead In Vitro.

Your tasks and responsibilities
You will have the following responsibilities and will perform the associated tasks to fulfil them:
•    Efficient and timely execution of routine activities like media preparation, multiplication and maintenance of stock plants, shipment etc;
•    Take part in processing different running projects e.g. embryo rescue, meristem culture, organogenesis;
•    Following process guidelines to achieve the best quality;
•    Assisting with Protocol applications and process execution;
•    Verbal and written report on progress;
•    Initiation of diagnostic testing by preparing and sending samples to diagnostic laboratory;
•    Supporting the Technology Application team with planning, organization, communication and administration.
Your profile
•    Vocational (or B.Sc.) degree in Life Sciences and/or Laboratory applications;
•    Proven experience with several of the techniques described above. Plant tissue culture experience is a plus;
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
•    Team player mentality;
•    Excellent command of the Dutch and English language.

De uitdaging
Na een gedegen interne opleiding ga je als Servicetechnicus buitendienst, zelfstandig apparatuur in bedrijf stellen, storingen oplossen, onderhoud plegen en modificaties aanbrengen aan brandmeldinstallaties.
Daarnaast geef je gebruikersinstructies op locatie en ben je hét gezicht van Lobeco bij de klant. Uiteraard krijg je de beschikking over een bedrijfsauto die voorzien is van alle benodigde gereedschappen.
Het profiel
Je bent een technicus in hart en nieren, beschikt over een afgeronde MBO opleiding elektronica, je hebt kennis van hedendaagse digitale technieken. Je beschikt over het diploma onderhouds- en installatiedeskundige brandmeldinstallaties of je bent bereid deze te behalen.
Je bent flexibel, klantgericht en in het bezit van een rijbewijs B. Jouw gedrag is onbesproken want het overleggen van een ”Verklaring omtrent het gedrag - VOG” is noodzakelijk. Werkervaring in een soortgelijke functie is een pré.

Technical Superintendent

 

Wie ben jij?

We zijn op zoek naar een Technical Superintendent. In deze rol zorg je ervoor dat aan alle Company (Safety Management Systeem) and wettelijk eisen wordt voldaan op het gebied van veiligheid, bescherming van het milieu en risico-evaluaties binnen de Nautische en Technische afdelingen van onze schepen.

 

In de rol van Technical Superintendent onderhoud je op regelmatige basis contact met de kapiteins en hoofdwerktuigkundigen van de schepen, voor de operationele en technische zaken. Je zal ook scheepsbezoeken- en inspecties uitvoeren, waarbij je erop toeziet dat de schepen naar behoren worden onderhouden en voldoen aan de gestelde eisen en bied je in jouw rol als Technical Superintendent de nodige operationele en technische ondersteuning.

 

Tevens assister je de Fleet Manager bij het behalen van de doelstellingen van P&O Ferries, waaronder op het gebied van inkoop.

 

Wat ga je doen?

 

De Technical Superintendent heeft onder meer tot taak ervoor te zorgen dat voor de schepen die onder zijn verantwoordelijkheid vallen:

 

  • In alle opzichten onderhouden en in een veilige een zeewaardige conditie zijn;
  • Efficiënt en betrouwbaar zijn;
  • Er scheepsinspecties worden uitgevoerd en maatregelen worden genomen naar aanleiding van de inspectie;
  • Refit-specificaties worden opgesteld, in samenwerking met de Hoofdwerktuigkundige van het schip;
  • Refits/dockings worden voorbereid en uitgevoerd;
  • De werkzaamheden aan boord door de crewleden of aannemers veilig en efficient worden uitgevoerd;
  • De crewleden voldoende opleiding en begeleiden krijgen bij en voor het uitvoeren van alle technische werkzaamheden.

 

Tevens assisteer je de Fleet Manager:

  • Ervoor te zorgen dat het schip voldoet aan de eisen voor certificaten, audits en inspecties en;
  • Informeer je de Fleet Manager over de risico’s met het oog op de veiligheid en betrouwbaarheid op korte en lange termijn.

 

 

Tot de taken van de Technical Superintendent behoren ook:

 

  • De efficiënte exploitatie van gecharterde schepen, met inbegrip van het brandstofbeheer
  • Het assisteren bij de uitvoering van audits of onderzoeken zoals vereist
  • Contacten met overheidsinstanties, classificatiebureaus, scheepswerven en leveranciers

 

 

 

Functie-eisen:

Om succesvol te zijn in deze rol is het essentieel dat je over het volgende beschikt:

 

  • Aanzienlijke ervaring als minimaal tweede werktuigkundige en/of in een vergelijkbare functie aan wal gedurende minimaal 3 jaar;
  • Een duidelijk begrip van maritieme operationele kwesties;
  • In staat om nauw samen te werken met collega's in cross-functionele teams
  • Mogelijkheid om P&O Ferries te vertegenwoordigen bij externe bureaus (Flag State, Port State, Class en contractors);
  • In staat om veilige en effectieve operationele methoden en procedures te ontwikkelen
  • Uitstekende beheersing van de Nederlandse- en Engelse taal.

Job Description

Process development consists of a USP and a DSP department and is responsible for the development of scalable, pharmaceutical-grade production processes for viral vaccines using mammalian cell lines as a production platform. The developed production processes are transferred into GMP production facilities for the production of clinical batches and scaled- up for commercial production. We are looking for a motivated Lab Technician within the field of downstream process development (DSP). Under limited supervision, but as part of a team you will contribute to development.


Key responsibilities:


  • Perform unit operations include filtration, chromatography and UF/DF. Experiments may be performed on pilot scale (50L) or in reduced-scale models;
  • Supporting the team in preparing experiment and related tasks (ordering via SAP, organizing the lab etc.);
  • Work on making the processes more efficient for better execution;
  • Maintaining buffer logistics;
  • Prepping the samples that need to be delivered to a different department;
  • Work together and be part of a multicultural team.



Job Requirements
  • You have a MLO-4 degree with experience or a Bsc.
  • You work accurately and you are a team player with excellent communicational skills.

De afdeling GPS-NC (Global Project Services - New Construction), onderdeel van Applus+ Energy & Industry, is een internationale speler op het gebied van niet-destructief onderzoek (NDT), inspectie en onderzoeksoplossingen om de kwaliteit en integriteit van installaties te bepalen. GPS houdt zich bezig met voornamelijk nieuwbouw inspectie werkzaamheden aan bestaande leidingnetwerken aan land alsmede offshore. Voor de versterking aan technische kennis binnen GPS zoeken wij een Technical Authority in NDT.


De Technical Authority zal rapporteren aan de Manager Quality & Technology.


Wat ga je doen?

Je bent dé specialist binnen de toegewezen expertise en daarmee verantwoordelijk voor de ‘Best Practice’ van alle geleverde diensten binnen het specialisme gebied.


Je werkzaamheden zijn onder te verdelen in:

Advisering

  • Geeft adviezen aan de klant over de juiste procedures en uit te voeren onderzoeken om diens vraagstelling te kunnen oplossen;
  • Definiëren en waar nodig nader uitwerken van de eisen en de wensen van de klant en selecteren van de daarvoor noodzakelijke onderzoeksmethode en middelen;
  • Voorbereiden, vaststellen, definiëren, scheppen en gereed stellen van de juiste oplossingen, methoden, technieken, instructies en voorzieningen voor de juiste uitvoering van de opdracht;
  • Input geven aan de klanten, onderzoekers, leveranciers en overige stakeholders over de haalbaarheid en de uitvoering van NDO-opdrachten met de daarbij benodigde middelen, onderzoeksmethoden en kwalificaties.

Taken en verantwoordelijkheden:

  • Bepalen van de inhoud van technische procedures en de normen en eisen waaraan rapportage van standaard NDO dient te voldoen.
  • Vaststellen van de technische eisen aan training, opleiding, apparatuur en materiaal.
  • Neemt deel aan commissies en instituties op het gebied van NDO, levert commentaren op nationale en internationale standaarden en geeft mede invulling aan het vaststellen van nationale en internationale normen en standaarden.
  • Onderhoudt contacten met leveranciers over de eisen aan apparatuur en materieel met als doel om kosteneffectief exact de juiste middelen te kunnen verwerven.
  • Geeft aanwijzingen en instructies aan onderzoekers om veilig, efficiënt en effectief de overeengekomen NDO-opdrachten te kunnen uitvoeren.
  • Verstrekken van informatie aan klanten/opdrachtgevers, onderzoekers en overige stakeholders voor de uitvoering van NDO-opdrachten.
  • Coördineren van de aanwezigheid van technische voorschriften, apparatuur, middelen, opleidingen, standaarden en normen voor de kwalitatief hoogwaardige uitvoering van NDO-opdrachten.

Controlerende werkzaamheden

  • Oplossen van technische problemen voor interne medewerkers en collega’s op locatie.
  • In escalatiemodel als verantwoordelijke voor techniek onderzoeken van ontstane discussie over technische aspecten van uitgevoerde diensten/ onderzoeken/ rapportages.
  • Onderhouden van contacten met betrokken afdelingen, projectmanagement en overige stakeholders over de voortgang van lopende projecten en activiteiten.
  • Indien noodzakelijk assisteren van zowel eigen collega’s als klanten en derde partijen bij de uitvoering van NDO-opdrachten op locatie.

Dümmen Orange is the world’s largest breeder and propagator of cut flowers, bulbs, tropical plants, pot plants, bedding plants and perennials. For our Research & Development department, section Cell Biology & Tissue Culture, in De Lier we are looking for a Laboratory Technician Cell Biology.

Job objective

As Laboratory Technician you will actively participate in routine Tissue Culture activities within our Technology Application domain. The position offers exposure to the state-of-the-art cell biology and tissue culture technologies applied to a wide variety of ornamental crops in a competitive and dynamic environment. You will actively take part in a young and dynamic team; good communication skills and team-player mentality are valued in all our lab personnel. The reporting line is directed to Team Lead In Vitro.

Your tasks and responsibilities
You will have the following responsibilities and will perform the associated tasks to fulfil them:
•    Efficient and timely execution of routine activities like media preparation, multiplication and maintenance of stock plants, shipment etc;
•    Take part in processing different running projects e.g. embryo rescue, meristem culture, organogenesis;
•    Following process guidelines to achieve the best quality;
•    Assisting with Protocol applications and process execution;
•    Verbal and written report on progress;
•    Initiation of diagnostic testing by preparing and sending samples to diagnostic laboratory;
•    Supporting the Technology Application team with planning, organization, communication and administration.

Your profile
•    Vocational (or B.Sc.) degree in Life Sciences and/or Laboratory applications;
•    Proven experience with several of the techniques described above. Plant tissue culture experience is a plus;
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
•    Team player mentality;
•    Excellent command of the Dutch and English language.
