Job description 

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will provide technical guidance and support to our customers who work with Experlogix CPQ and e-Con CPQ worldwide. Alongside three other Technical Support Engineers in EMEA, you will be working together with your colleagues from the USA, based in Utah and across the US, and with customers located throughout EMEA and Asia on a daily basis. You will be a technical subject matter expert on the Experlogix CPQ system and its platform(s).

Job Requirements

Candidates must have demonstrated work experience that includes a combination of the following skill set and experience:

  • Working knowledge of Web server platform technologies like IIS
  • Microsoft Azure Cloud and AWS IaaS environment experience
  • Working knowledge of server environments including Windows Server 2003 and above
  • Experience with virtualization (Hyper-V or VirtualBox) is a plus
  • Experience analysing databases in SQL Server & Microsoft Access to troubleshoot and resolve support issues
  • Detail oriented, demonstrated ability to effectively troubleshoot technical issues
  • Experience reviewing server log files to troubleshoot and resolve support issues
  • Experience in DevOps including the design and automation of IaaS including virtual networks, virtual machines, cloud services, websites, data services a plus
  • Enjoy communicating with customers to resolve technical issues

Are you a motivated and experienced research technician who wants to support our research theme Complex Cell Systems at the Animal Science Department? We would like to get in contact with you.
 
As experienced technician your main task is to setup and differentiate iPSCs into muscle cells (i.e. skeletal & cardiac) and neuronal cells (i.e. neurons, glia cells, myelination). With these cells you will create functional in vitro innervated brain-muscle connections. At later stages you will also have a primary role in analysing and characterising the muscle innervation processes genetically, morphologically, and functionally. The ideal candidate would be able to culture and differentiate iPSCs or should be motivated to learn these novel skills and techniques. You will work in a team of research technicians and diverse scientists, supporting our research in developing complex cell models. Your work will also involve general lab duties and you may sometimes be asked to participate in teaching activities.
 
This position is part of the Complex Cell Systems investment theme of the Animal Science Department and you will be appointed at Wageningen University at Human and Animal Physiology, working in close collaboration with Host-Microbe Interactomics.
 
More about the project: 
The widespread and increasing innovation and adoption of human complex cell system-based technologies is testament to their enormous potential as models for use in basic and translational research. Generation of innervated muscle tissues using induced pluripotent stem cells and ex vivo cultured cells is a pioneering field able to revolutionize the study of nerve and muscle physiology, development in humans but also animals. In combination with transcriptomic, metabolomic and proteomic profiling these complex cell systems promise to reveal crucial aspects of innervated muscle development, homeostasis and disease. This investment theme underpins the strong motivation within ASG to replace, reduce and refine animal experiments. 
Function Requirements
  • A higher professional education (HBO) Bachelor’s or university BSc/MSc degree, or a medical laboratory research (HLO) degree or equivalent, in laboratory science, medical biology, molecular cell biology, cell biology or similar;
  • Experience with cell culturing and molecular cell biological techniques is required and experience with complex cell cultures is a pre.
  • A professional, reliable and organised method of working together in a multidisciplinary team;

Research of Human and Animal Physiology (HAP) is focused on energy metabolism. A compromised energy metabolism is a central component of diet- and age-related diseases and affects organ and tissue function. By studying energy metabolism and in particular mitochondria, HAP want to improve metabolic health and prevent disease and dysfunction. HAP combines expertise in human-, animal-and cell-models, using physiological, molecular, biochemical and histological tools.
Host-Microbe Interactomics (HMI) is focused on molecular mechanisms of diseases caused by pathogenic bacteria and the interactions between beneficial bacteria and their human or animal hosts. HMI combines expertise in cell biology, immunology, microbiology and functional genomics to improve the understanding of the molecular interactions occurring in the crosstalk between microbes and their hosts. 
Working conditions
We offer a position for 2 years with the possibility of 2 years extension. Wageningen University & Research offers excellent terms of employment (CAO WU). A few highlights from our Collective Labour Agreement include:

For our client, a company in the Technical branch, we are looking for an Technical Inventory Coordinator based in Amersfoort.
Our hardware technical support team is in need of an experienced Inventory Coordinator. The position is based at our workshop and warehouse facility near Amersfoort, in the Netherlands .
The role ensures the team has the right equipment, in the right place, at the right time. You will also coordinate all interactions between the hardware support team and the logistics team. The working hours are usually fixed at 8:30am to 5:30pm, except on the rare occasion when some overtime is requested.
The ideal candidate will have previously managed inventory and logistics of equipment in a hardware tech support environment. They will be experienced with coordinating inventory in a workshop environment as well as across international borders.
Responsibilities
  • Support physical inventory counts as required.
  • Physically inbound & outbound equipment to/from of the Tech Support Hub.
  • Ensuring physical inventory is in the correct location.
  • Opening and overseeing logistics tickets.
  • Ensuring healthy flow of equipment to/from the field.
  • Monitor spares and consumables and proposing reorders.

  • Manage equipment inventory and forecasting spares quarterly.
  • Perform kitting, dekitting, and BOM transactions
  • Creating new BOMs configurations for specific project requirements.
  • Create reports at an agreed frequency (weekly, monthly, quarterly).

  • Coordinate purchasing requests
  • Distribute material as requested by project owners.
  • Propose innovative procedures and/or tools to more effectively manage inventory and consumable items.
  • Identify correct part numbers for items requested by technicians and source the required parts.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role.
  • Minimum 2 years relevant education after completion of high school.
  • Basic technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical/electronic and IT components.
  • Fluent English in writing, reading, and conversation.
  • Car driving license.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to lift and move heavy objects (25kg)

Nice to haves
  • Dutch, or other languages.
  • Knowledge of dangerous good regulations.
  • Technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Health, Safety and Environment training.

As a Field Repair Manufacturing Technician you will have an unique opportunity to be part of one of these projects. You'll repair and upgrade vehicles, computers and cameras in the field. You'll also assemble computers, powers systems, cameras and sensors.
Summary

Essential Requirements:

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will provide technical guidance and support to our customers who work with Experlogix CPQ and e-Con CPQ worldwide. Alongside three other Technical Support Engineers in EMEA, you will be working together with your colleagues from the USA, based in Utah and across the US, and with customers located throughout EMEA and Asia on a daily basis. You will be a technical subject matter expert on the Experlogix CPQ system and its platform(s).

Job Requirements

Candidates must have demonstrated work experience that includes a combination of the following skill set and experience:

  • Working knowledge of Web server platform technologies like IIS
  • Microsoft Azure Cloud and AWS IaaS environment experience
  • Working knowledge of server environments including Windows Server 2003 and above
  • Experience with virtualization (Hyper-V or VirtualBox) is a plus
  • Experience analysing databases in SQL Server & Microsoft Access to troubleshoot and resolve support issues
  • Detail oriented, demonstrated ability to effectively troubleshoot technical issues
  • Experience reviewing server log files to troubleshoot and resolve support issues
  • Experience in DevOps including the design and automation of IaaS including virtual networks, virtual machines, cloud services, websites, data services a plus
  • Enjoy communicating with customers to resolve technical issues
