Als Besturingstechneut ofwel Software Engineer draag je zorg voor het goed functioneren van de machines. Zonder jou, functioneert een machine niet. Hierbij richt je je op het ontwerpen en in bedrijfstellen van de machines. Programmeren is hierbij ook een groot onderdeel! Concreet ga je in deze rol aan de slag met:

• het opnemen van specificaties samen met de afdeling electrical en mechanisch om tot één werkend geheel te komen;
• het testen van het uiteindelijke systeem (zo'n 4 keer per jaar zelfs mee naar het buitenland voor het in bedrijf stellen!);
• het uitvoeren van analyses om tot een klantgerichte oplossing te komen;
• het programmeren van PLC's;

Functie eisen

Wat ga jij doen als Software Engineer / Besturingstechnicus?

Als Software Engineer zal je je gaan richten op het ontwerpen, programmeren en besturingsmatiging inbedrijfstellen van de machines. Jij moet ervoor gaan zorgen dat de machines tot leven komen. Momenteel bestaat het team uit 10 Software Engineers en zoeken wij de juiste kandidaten om dit team te versterken. Verder zal je te maken krijgen de volgende werkzaamheden:

• het opstellen van besturingssoftware;
• het verrichten van een systeemanalyse om verschillende oplossingsmogelijkheden te onderzoeken;
• testen van de besturingssoftware en zo nodig op locatie assisteren bij de inbedrijfstelling;
• verder ontwikkelen van de software;
• bestuderen, analyseren en interpreteren van de met de klant overeengekomen functionele specificatie en dit vertalen naar een werkingsconcept (dit doe je in samenwerking met engineers van verschillende disciplines).

Wat vragen wij van jou?

Allereerst heb je een praktische, analytische en oplossingsgerichte instelling. Om in aanmerking te komen voor de positie van Software Engineer vragen wij verder het volgende van jou:

• je hebt een HBO of WO opleiding in de richting van Elektrotechniek, Industriële Automatisering of Besturingstechniek;
• als je al ervaring hebt in een vergelijkbare functie is dat een pré;

Whatare you going to do?

Thisvacancy is within our Software Team team, a group of fourexperienced Software Engineer.The team is responsible for designing, developing, and verifying allsoftware components of the aircraft, ground, and support systems.

Withinthe team, you will be responsible for the design and implementationof a number of software components. In particular, you will takeownership of the Ground Control Station, the software designed tocontrol and monitor the overall system operation. You will workclosely with the flight operations team, pilots and ground crew, tobuild specifications and iterate on the development of the product.In addition you will contribute to the development of varioussoftware tools designed to facilitate the calibration, maintenance,and monitoring of a number of items such as sensors, actuators, andpower management.

Wevalue passion over universitydegreesand consider self-educationandcontinuous learning tobe key aspects in thefield of software engineering, thereforewe do notstrictly ask for adegree in Computer Science. Youhave at least 3 yearsof experience insoftware engineering. Inaddition, you:

• Work efficiently in a team and support your colleagues;
• Are able to proactively pick up tasks and take ownership in your work;

• Like to learn new skills when it is required;
  

• Adhere to processes and contribute to their continuous improvement;
  

• Report in a precise and concise manner, and are good at writing technical documentation.

Asyou will be part of an international team, you are also proficientin English. Besidesthis you have extensiveknowledge ofthe following:

• The Qt5 framework and QML interface language, targetting Linux and Windows;
• User interface design methodologies;

• Software development on Linux;
  

• Full software life-cycle, from experimental proof-of-concept to long-term maintenance;
  

• Common software tools such as git, make, shell & python scripting, etc.

Althoughnot a must-have, we wouldvery much welcomeexperience in the fieldslisted below.Pleasenote that this list is only intended to shed lighton the broaderscope of the work of software team asa whole, it is notexpectedof applicants to master any of these fields.

• Agile/SCRUM development methodologies.
