Field Service Engineer

Wat ga je doen als Field Service Engineer:

Jouw positie in het veld

In de positie van Engineer ben je ondersteunend aan de Project Engineer bij het uitwerken van de toegewezen gave projecten, met een maakbaar product als gewenst eindresultaat. Als Engineer ben je verantwoordelijk voor gave projecten binnen Nederland en/of Engeland. Deze organisatie is productie onafhankelijk en gespecialiseerd als project gestuurde organisatie.

 

Je bent verantwoordelijk voor een actieve bijdrage in het opleveren van kwalitatieve projecten binnen de gestelde budgetten en planning. Daarnaast maak, beheer en controleer je de tekeningen en verwerk je de output van externe adviseurs en/of constructeurs in de tekeningen.

Transfereisen

This assignment is for an Electrical Engineer (electronic system of opto-mechatronic products) responsible for work in the development of new customer specific products.  This person will be a member of core electronics design team. Responsibilities

 

Product Development:

  • Develop innovative and creative electrical system design solutions for lighting products which results in a competitive advantage for the company
  • Test, analyze and package LED light solutions from concept or detailed specifications
  • Assemble electrical and electronic systems and prototypes according to design engineering or customer input based on knowledge of electrical principles
  • Build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical instruments and testing equipment
  • Develop and maintain test plans for the electronic components projects

 

Current Product Improvement:

  • Review current product and manufacturing processes for opportunities to improve cost, performance, reliability and manufacturability
  • Develop technical documentation including component selection, schematics, Gerber files, etc. for contract manufacturers.
  • Analyze and interpret test information to resolve technical issues in current applications.

Research & Development of New Technologies:

  • Research and present new technologies that will allow the company to stay on the leading edge of lighting system technology
  • Develop, demonstrate and present new lighting solutions for the commercial vehicle industry including interior general illumination, task lighting, accent lighting, backlighting and exterior lighting
  • Fully understand the characteristics and measurement techniques of LED products
  • Develop design guidelines and tools to support customers designing LED’s into their lighting systems
  • Conduct optical analysis for various LED-based lighting system

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or higher in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in designing electrical systems and solutions with LED sources or automotive lighting
  • 3+ years experience design and development of board level electronics circuit design (analog and digital), schematics, component selection and manufacturing.
  • Expert skills in client interaction and design support of LED applications
  • Analytical skills to identify market trends and opportunities
  • Knowledge of Altium, LTspice, Atmel Studio or similar software
  • Excellent organizational skills

Je levert ontwerpen die passen bij de onderliggende frameworks en concepten, bouwt efficiënte en testbare code, identificeert en integreert modulaire software en levert geïntegreerde unit tests. Dit doe je samen met een internationaal team vanuit onze logistieke HUB in Eindhoven. Binnen het team reviewen jullie elkaars werk en houden jullie elkaar op de hoogte van de laatste ontwikkelingen. Zo zorg je er samen voor dat projecten en software bij UPS over de hele wereld geïmplementeerd kan worden.
Dit breng je mee
  • Je hebt ruime kennis en ervaring met C#.
  • Je hebt een hbo- of wo-opleiding afgerond in de richting van informatica, coderen, computer science of vergelijkbaar.
  • Je hebt 5-8 jaar ontwikkelervaring, bij voorkeur in een agile-omgeving.
  • Je hebt ervaring met relevante software engineering technologie, zoals Visual Studio, C#, Client-Server, SQL Server, XML en HTML. Ervaring met Windows Forms, GIT, TFS en eventueel aanvullende technologieën is mooi meegenomen.
  • Ervaring met werken in een logistieke omgeving is een pre.
  • Je hebt een analytische en probleemoplossende houding en leert graag nieuwe dingen.

Electrical Project Engineer Loop Group Electrical Project Engineer Loop Group Job area Location Veghel, Netherlands Contract type Full time Introduction The position of Electrical Project Engineer within the Loop Group will give you the opportunity to work on interesting, international projects together with a multidisciplinary team of engineers. The Loop Group (part of BU Operations) is responsible for the engineering, supply, installation and commissioning of the loop sorters in our projects. These loop sorters (Crossorter, Helixorter and Traysorter) are applied in all three market segments (Baggage Handling, Parcel & Postal and Warehouse Automation) all over the world. The total team consists of around 65 people and executes projects that range from small sorters with manual induction to large systems with complex sorting algorithms and high capacity inducts. On average the team has about 40 parallel projects in progress and the turnover is about 53 million euros per year. Your position As Electrical Project Engineer, you have a key role in the total electrical design; from power distribution, right up to preparing the bill of materials for all the required electrical components. An important aspect of your work will be producing the control diagrams, using advanced network technologies such as Industrial Ethernet, and AS-i bus. You will provide the design and drawing sets for the manufacturing of the electrical enclosures and the total cabling specification, from materials right through to the installation drawings and assembly instructions for the installer. It will be your task to make the detailed design unambiguous and to explain it to the installer. Your checklists are used for the commissioning of the complete installation, from connection to testing of the last I/O. To make your work even more challenging with the maximum possible technology depth, we use all the functionality of our CAD systems (AutoCAD and EPLAN). We also develop tooling to enable optimal execution of the engineering works. Your department The Project Engineering department is responsible for the execution of projects in which the different components (mechanical and controls) of our material handling systems are implemented. Working under the supervision of a Project Leader, the Electrical Project Engineer is part of a multidisciplinary team of Engineers. Your profile To be successful in this role, you have at least a vocational education (MTS/MBO-4) or a Bachelor (HTS/HBO) degree in Electrical Engineering.
