Your duties:
- Responsible for delivering regular recommendations on how to optimize manufacturing methods, while meeting all of the quality standards set forth by the company and government regulations. The successful candidate will work side-by-side with the management staff to discover inefficiencies in manufacturing processes and then determine the best ways to implement our DBS methods on the shop floor.
- Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
- Systematic optimization of processes, development of benchmarks (Daily Management, KPI and continuous improvement).
- Analyze workflows within and across all departments to determine how the entire company can work better together.
- Create process documentation based on Lean principles like Standard Work, DFM and FMEA and operating instructions.
- Create site specific Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) programs in compliance with OSHA, and other regulatory agencies.
- Develop and implement audits to track and identify gaps in local compliance with EHS policies and procedures.
- Conduct monthly EHS inspections and lead the EHS Committee.
- Verify that hazardous chemicals are handled, stored and disposed of in accordance with regulations.
- Develop EHS training programs. Conducts new hire and annual refresher training to all associates in the area of EHS, ergonomics and other required aspects through material development, schedule coordination, training data tracking, etc. within regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Collaborate with your peers at other OTT HydroMet locations and Water platform OpCos. You report directly to the site Operations Manager.
Your profile:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline required.
- 3+ years in quality or business process engineering.
- Ideally experience in a manufacturing company.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, programs, incident investigation procedures.
- Fluent in spoken and written Dutch & English.

Als elektrotechnisch ingenieur werk je in multidisciplinaire teams aan het ontwerpen en specificeren van zuiveringen. Je bent onder andere verantwoordelijk voor het ontwerpen van de elektrische installatie van een project. Daarvoor ontwerp je de energievoorziening, de elektrische verdelers en voeding van machines, voer je kabelberekeningen uit, bepaal je welke instrumentatie wordt toegepast ontwerp je de besturing die ervoor zorgt dat de zuiveringsprestaties gehaald worden. Voor stations van Tennet en netbeheerders werk je aan de primaire of secundaire installaties, bijvoorbeeld het ontwerpen van de beveiliging en besturing van een station of de stationsautomatisering. Ook optimaliseren we bestaande installaties en doen we studies en onderzoeken om gefundeerde ontwerpkeuzes te kunnen maken.
Projecten waar we aan werken zijn het ontwerpen van de Energiefabriek Hengelo (verhoging duurzame energieproductie op een bestaande rioolwaterzuivering), ontwerpen van een nieuwe afvalwaterzuivering in Utrecht en in Egypte (vanuit Nederland), de realisatie van grote zonnevelden op zuiveringslocaties en bedrijvendaken en de ontwikkeling van een innovatieve buurtbatterij. Je standplaats wordt in overleg bepaald.
In de sector Energie, water en milieu werken we aan uitdagende projecten die zorgen voor schoon drinkwater, het zuiveren van afvalwater en het opwekken van duurzame energie. Ook projecten voor Tennet en netbeheerders behoren tot het werkgebied. Verder werken we aan de implementatie van innovatieve technieken en ondersteuning van start-ups. We doen dit niet alleen in Nederland maar ook in het buitenland (denk aan drinkwaterproductie in Afrika, het zuiveren van afvalwater in Dubai en het opwekken van duurzame energie in Indonesië).
