What are you going to do?
This position reports into the Process Engineering group under Final Product Technologies. The position will support global supply, new product introductions, partnerships/acquisitions and devices.
This position utilizes physics, engineering and chemistry principles coupled with advanced and diverse materials science understanding and principles to assist in the evaluation, design, qualification and implementation of packaging components and the associated systems such as documentation, equipment and processes.
A strong knowledge of common materials utilized in pharmaceutical packaging is required. Key Material knowledge requirements of the structural components and chemical properties of glass, polymers, adhesives, inks, varnishes and paper is required. Understanding of packaging manufacturing equipment and processes and how materials interact with these is essential to the position.
This role requires entry level management, excellent organizational, project management, technical problem solving and communication (written and verbal) skills, and the ability to work in teams and adapt to rapidly changing environment.
As a specialist you are responsible and accountable for the following:
- Evaluation, recommendation and selection of new packaging materials for both large and small molecules product.
- Supports complex investigations relating to materials, recommending and implementing solutions
- Write test protocols, perform technical evaluations and submitting technical
assessment reports to justify the use of selected materials.

- Representing Final Product Technologies as required
- Technology transfer from clinical to commercial or from site to site for packaging components and equipment processes

Als Proces Engineer ben je verantwoordelijk voor het blijvend ontwikkelen van onze hightech productielocatie op procestechnologisch gebied om zo aan te blijven sluiten bij de ontwikkelingen van de klant. Je focus ligt hierbij op de procestechnologie in de cleanroom. Je identificeert verbetermogelijkheden en draagt zorg voor het implementeren van deze verbeteringen. Denk hierbij aan onze ISO-certificering in de cleanroom en onderzoek naar onder andere vervuiling, cleanen, thermische processen en procescontrole. Ook verricht je onderzoek naar nieuwe cleanroom processen en technologieën. Je bent eigenaar van het maintenance plan voor alle productieapparatuur. Hierbij hoort ook het opstellen van een forecasting en het aanvragen van budget voor onderhoud en nieuwe investeringen. De afdeling Proces Engineering bestaat uit een team van ervaren specialisten die verantwoordelijk zijn voor de technologische innovatie binnen onze organisatie. Ter versterking van het team zijn wij op zoek naar een Proces Engineer die zich op dit vlak verder wil ontwikkelen. Je rapporteert in deze functie aan de Manager Engineering.
Tot je taken behoren verder:
- het waarborgen van een tijdige en in voldoende mate beschikbaarheid van productiemiddelen, waarbij de focus ligt op het beheren, identificeren en implementeren van procesverbeteringen in de cleanroom;
- coördineren van preventief en correctief onderhoud;
- signaleren van veel voorkomende structurele fouten en hierop anticiperen;
- het schrijven en onderhouden procedures, werkinstructies en normen;
- het maken van statische proces analyse;
- het hanteren van de principes van LEAN en project management.
Wat vragen we van je als Proces Engineer?
Je bent in staat om de ontwikkelingen binnen jouw vakgebied te vertalen naar ons bedrijf en kunt je goed verplaatsen in andere vakgebieden zoals productie en logistiek. Je staat continu in contact met de werkvloer en je hebt het vermogen om te communiceren met alle lagen binnen het bedrijf. Je bent een technisch sparringpartner voor technologen van externe partijen. We verwachten van jou een grote mate van drive, zelfstandigheid en eigen initiatief en je bent enthousiast en bevlogen in jouw vakgebied. Je bent in staat om bruggen te slaan, waarvoor een proactieve houding gewenst is.
Verder vragen we:
- een afgeronde opleiding op hbo- of wo-niveau in een technische richting zoals werktuigbouwkunde of vergelijkbaar;
- tussen de 5 en 10 jaar relevante werkervaring;
- ervaring met procestechnologie is een must;

Functieomschrijving
Als productie-ingenieur richt je je voornamelijk op het bouwen, testen en kwalificeren van modules van het NXE-lichtpad. Deze testreeks maakt deel uit van het kritieke cyclustijdpad dat plaatsvindt in de machinecabine in de cleanroom en op klantlocaties.
Algemeen:
Als Production Engineer draag je bij aan de 4 belangrijkste PE-stuurprogramma's:
- Verkort de cyclustijd
-Verlaag de kosten
-Efficiëntie verhogen
-Verhoging van de kwaliteit U zult voortdurend aandacht hebben voor veiligheid.
Hoewel het werken vanuit een competentiegroep, wordt flexibiliteit verwacht, om de uitvoerplannen en routekaarten voor de cyclustijd veilig te stellen. Continue verbetering:
-Aanpassen, optimaliseren van bedieningsinstructies, processtroomschema's, routings, procesparameters en indicatoren
-Analyseren van het productieproces (cyclustijd en arbeidsuren), wijzen op structurele problemen en knelpunten, werken suggesties voor verbeteringen uit en initiëren de implementatie ervan, vaak in nauwe samenwerking met de omringende afdelingen als ontwikkeling, supply chain en klantenondersteuning

As process engineer you will work with distinctive and specially manufactured fabrics according to ancient methods and materials. Inspired by Africa, influenced by Indonesian Batik and designed in the Netherlands.
This is what the position looks like:
In your role as a seasoned process engineer you are responsible for the process management of a large number of projects up to 300K. You know better than anyone how important good quality is, that work is done efficiently, but also that safety is first. You know how to optimally improve processes and productivity. You work with your project-based approach and support the production division. Together with production and technical service organizations, you look at improvement opportunities and related solutions. You can properly analyze existing processes based on data and you prepare and implement improvement processes. You also prepare tests and risk analyzes and make decisions based on approved budgets.
What to bring?
- hbo/wo working and thinking level in the field of technical textiles, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, process- or chemical technology;
- you have experience as an engineer or a technical background in textiles;

In jouw rol als ervaren process engineer ben je verantwoordelijk voor de procesbeheersing van een groot aantal projecten tot wel 300K. Als geen ander weet je hoe belangrijk het is dat de kwaliteit goed is, er efficiënt gewerkt wordt, maar ook dat veiligheid bovenaan staat. Zowel de processen als de productiviteit weet jij optimaal te verbeteren. Je houdt je bezig met de projectmatige aanpak en ondersteuning van de productie. En samen met productie en de technische dienst kijk je naar wat er beter kan en denk je mee in oplossingen. Het is belangrijk dat je bestaande processen goed kunt analyseren op basis van data en dat je verbetertrajecten op de juiste manier voorbereidt en uitvoert. Daarnaast stel je testen en risicoanalyses op en maak je beslissingen op basis van goedgekeurde budgetten.
Wat neem je mee?

Job description
What are you going to do?
This position reports into the Process Engineering group under Final Product Technologies. The position will support global supply, new product introductions, partnerships/acquisitions and devices.
This position utilizes physics, engineering and chemistry principles coupled with advanced and diverse materials science understanding and principles to assist in the evaluation, design, qualification and implementation of packaging components and the associated systems such as documentation, equipment and processes.
A strong knowledge of common materials utilized in pharmaceutical packaging is required. Key Material knowledge requirements of the structural components and chemical properties of glass, polymers, adhesives, inks, varnishes and paper is required. Understanding of packaging manufacturing equipment and processes and how materials interact with these is essential to the position.
This role requires entry level management, excellent organizational, project management, technical problem solving and communication (written and verbal) skills, and the ability to work in teams and adapt to rapidly changing environment.
As a specialist you are responsible and accountable for the following:
- Evaluation, recommendation and selection of new packaging materials for both large and small molecules product.
- Supports complex investigations relating to materials, recommending and implementing solutions
- Write test protocols, perform technical evaluations and submitting technical
assessment reports to justify the use of selected materials.

- Representing Final Product Technologies as required
- Technology transfer from clinical to commercial or from site to site for packaging components and equipment processes
-Write tech transfer plans and reports
-Establish priorities to ensure all projects are managed within expected due dates
Lead and present new packaging ideas, concepts and design ideas to the Product Development team.
- Ensures cGMP and regulatory compliance are met
- Ensures that change control procedures are followed working with QA and
Regulatory to implement changes
- Participants in Pre-Approval Inspections (PAI) and interact with regulatory
bodies (e.g., FDA, EMEA, etc) as needed
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams (i.e. Research, QA/QC, Supply
Chain, Maintenance, Manufacturing, Regulatory, etc.) in pre-commercial and
commercial activities.
