Job description

The main tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Responsible for creating a safe working space for all employees, in accordance with company policy and regulations.
  • Streamlining process flows, lowering production process costs.
  • Advising /assisting of procurement of new installations
  • Developing means of production and supporting the implementation of infrastructure, utilities and equipment.
  • Detecting process failures and finding solutions and alternatives.
  • Establishing automated production lines combined with robotics and automation in close cooperation with the Global team.
  • Responsible for acquiring government permits, related to the operational activities.
  • Setting up training for new equipment in close collaboration with the OpEx engineer and responsible Managers.

Education:

  • HBO level is required, preferably in the field of (industrial or electro) engineering.

Skills and approach:

  • A minimum of 5-10 years working experience as a mechanical engineer in a food production environment is required.
  • Experience with industrial hygiene food production is desirable
  • Experience in working with MS Office is required
  • Experience with project management, leading projects is required
  • In-depth understanding of processes and ability to build processes
  • Experience in electrics and mechanics is required
  • Experience in the Lean methodology is an advantage
  • Can work independently and is flexible

Technical Requirements

  • Can make drawings in Cad/Solid works
  • Is responsible to calculate project cost/ROI’s

Language:

  • Je zorgt er voor dat het gebouw en de installaties goed worden onderhouden.
  • Je begeleidt monteurs voor het oplossen van storingen en uitvoeren van onderhoud aan het gebouw en onderzoeksapparatuur.
  • Je zorgt dat de algemene ruimtes in het gebouw en aan jou toegewezen ruimtes op orde zijn.
  • Je beheert het auto- en botenwagenpark
  • Je beheert het materiaal voor onderzoekswerk.
Je zorgt voor ordentelijke opslag en zet materialen klaar die nodig zijn voor uitvoering van de onderzoeken.
  • Je geeft mede uitvoering aan het Bedrijfshulpverlenings-beleid en vervult de rol van plaatsvervangend hoofd BHV.

Functie-eisen

Je bent in staat om zowel zelfstandig als in teamverband goed te functioneren. Je werkt nauwgezet waarbij je de geldende protocollen in acht neemt. Je bent praktisch en oplossingsgericht ingesteld. Je kunt duidelijk communiceren  Je hebt goede computer vaardigheden om je agenda, email,  taken  en opdrachten met leveranciers te beheren. Je rapporteert en stemt je werkzaamheden af met het hoofd facilitaire dienst. Je hebt een basis taalvaardigheid in het Engels Niveau B2. Je bent flexibel in je werktijden, inclusief het meedraaien in consignatiediensten in het weekend en/of feestdagen. Om de functie van leerling monteur succesvol uit te kunnen voeren herken je jezelf in het volgende profiel:

  • Je hebt een afgeronde MBO 4-opleiding richting techniek en gaat binnen afzienbare tijd starten met een BBL-opleiding richting werktuigbouwkunde of installatietechniek;
  • Je hebt affiniteit met installatietechniek, indien je reeds werkervaring hebt binnen de installatietechniek is dat een pré;
  • Je hebt veiligheid hoog in het vaandel staan, voor jezelf en voor anderen. Daarbij ben je in het bezit van een geldig VCA certificaat of ben je bereid dit te behalen;
  • Een gezond portie doorzettingsvermogen en de wil om je te ontwikkelen is een vereiste Je bent zelfstandig, resultaatgericht, innovatief en communicatief vaardig;

The Mechanical Engineer will improve the NLC plant capacity (The Netherlands Logistic Center) and productivity while Safety and Quality requirements are leading in all the activities and improvements. For this, the engineer’s focus is on the technical side of all production equipment of the plant to achieve the highest performance.

Job description

The main tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Responsible for creating a safe working space for all employees, in accordance with company policy and regulations.
  • Streamlining process flows, lowering production process costs.
  • Advising /assisting of procurement of new installations
  • Developing means of production and supporting the implementation of infrastructure, utilities and equipment.
  • Detecting process failures and finding solutions and alternatives.
  • Establishing automated production lines combined with robotics and automation in close cooperation with the Global team.
  • Responsible for acquiring government permits, related to the operational activities.
  • Setting up training for new equipment in close collaboration with the OpEx engineer and responsible Managers.

Education:

  • HBO level is required, preferably in the field of (industrial or electro) engineering.

Skills and approach:

  • A minimum of 5-10 years working experience as a mechanical engineer in a food production environment is required.
  • Experience with industrial hygiene food production is desirable
  • Experience in working with MS Office is required
  • Experience with project management, leading projects is required
  • In-depth understanding of processes and ability to build processes
  • Experience in electrics and mechanics is required
  • Experience in the Lean methodology is an advantage
  • Can work independently and is flexible
  • Communicates easily with all levels
  • Hands on mentality

Technical Requirements

  • Can make drawings in Cad/Solid works
  • Is responsible to calculate project cost/ROI’s
  • Can read technical drawings (electrical and mechanical)
  • Is experienced in working with and programming PLC’s
  • Leading FAT & SAT in the Netherlands– working with HQ on plans and high level details

Language:

  • Excellent level of English language is required.
  • Experience in Dutch language is preferred
