ABOUT THE JOB

The Training Content Developer is an enablement advocate. These individuals understand that pivotal software features require a well-rounded comprehension on the subject matter and in turn they develop training content that is purposeful, clear and messaged correctly. Training Content Developers bring a unique perspective to this process. They anticipate the needs of the OneStream Learning Community, use that to gain a deeper understanding of the product and then determine the best method(s) to educate their audience. These methods include combinations of public training courses, eLearning content, internal training sessions, virtual workshops, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop training content based on the specific needs of our OneStream Learning Community: implementors, administrators, developers, IT, business users.
  • Execute effective content development based on a learning path's specific objectives and requirements.
  • Work as a training attendee advocate to gain a well-rounded comprehension on the subject matter and ensure content is relevant and effective.
  • Proactively collaborate with other teams such as Product Management, Quality Assurance and Support to educate yourself on upcoming features, enhancements, etc.
  • Recognize where content is lacking and the necessary steps to make improvements.
  • Enhance and maintain consistent development processes to ensure you are producing quality content.
  • Deliver internal training courses and enablement sessions to help educate our employees on new software features or changes and content best practices.
  • Deliver public specialty training sessions where relevant.
  • Content development and delivery for the Splash User Conference Sessions and Workshops.

QUALITIES OF A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

Formal Education and Certification

  • Four-year college degree in fields such as (but not limited to) Computer Science, Technical Education, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Learning and Development, or equivalent work experience

Required Experience

  • Work experience as a Technical Writer or Software Trainer preferably CPM software
  • Understanding of traditional and modern training methods (including workshops, simulations, e-Learning)
  • Experience developing hands-on, interactive materials
  • Confident working in group settings and alone
  • Excellent communication and written skills
  • Comfortable speaking/teaching/articulating to large groups
  • Experience in a growth organization where quick thinking and flexibility to change are essential
  • Experience in multi-media development (Adobe Illustrator, Camtasia, Photoshop, etc.)
  • BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Technical Education, Technical Learning and Development, Accounting, Finance or relevant field

Preferred Experience

Your profile

  • You have several years of professional work experience as a project manager of complex projects focusing on HV cable infrastructure 
  • You ideally have proven knowledge of the offshore industry, are experienced in offshore vessel-based survey operations and are familiar with ESRI ArcGIS
  • You preferably hold an academic degree in Geo-Sciences or a technical field of study with geo-science / engineering background 
  • You have a valid project management certification, ideally IPMA D, PMP or higher

The Training Content Developer is an enablement advocate. These individuals understand that pivotal software features require a well-rounded comprehension on the subject matter and in turn they develop training content that is purposeful, clear and messaged correctly. Training Content Developers bring a unique perspective to this process. RESPONSIBILITIES

Formal Education and Certification

Required Experience

  • Understanding of traditional and modern training methods (including workshops, simulations, e-Learning)
