This assignment is for an Electrical Engineer (electronic system of opto-mechatronic products) responsible for work in the development of new customer specific products. This person will be a member of core electronics design team. The projects are often different from project to project throughout the year. In each project, this person will be a part of a development team, which would include Electrical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Software Engineers, Systems Engineers and lab technicians. Creativity in problem solving, innovation in solutions developed, and teamwork are critical attributes for success in this assignment. The successful candidate will work closely within the engineering team, the project team, off-site Methode production facilities, and sales.

Als Mechanical Engineer bestaan je werkzaamheden uit, het ontwerpen, specificeren, construeren en berekenen en ben je (mede)verantwoordelijk voor de ontwikkeling van hoogwaardige mechanische en mechatronische machines, modules en technische producten. De interfaces naar de mechatronica, elektronica, software en productie spelen hierbij steeds een belangrijke rol. Dat betekent dat je ook aanspreekpunt bent en meehelpt tijdens de opbouw en realisatie van de systemen in onze werkplaats en de inbedrijfstelling bij de klant. Tot je taken behoren verder, het uitvoeren of begeleiden van haalbaarheidsstudies; opstellen van specificaties en begeleiden van Design en/of Proces FMEA’s en reviews.
Je denkt al mee in de conceptfase en bent vervolgens binnen het multidisciplinair projectteam betrokken bij de engineering en analytische onderbouwing van concept tot en met de uitwerking tot volledig constructiedossier op basis waarvan de machine of product kan worden gerealiseerd.
Uiteraard sta je klaar voor je collega’s als er vragen zijn tijdens assemblage, testen en/of inbedrijfstelling of heb je zelfs een begeleidende rol hierin.

Als mechanical design engineer ben je verantwoordelijk voor het ontwerpen en ontwikkelen van transport en handling systemen. Je werkt hiervoor nauw samen met de project engineers aan innovatieve klant specifieke oplossingen.
Op basis van de behoeften en wensen van de klant, draag je zorg voor de specificaties en maak je een ontwerpvoorstel. Jij houdt je bezig met het creëren en onderhouden van lay-out en werkplaatstekeningen. Daarnaast verzorg je de bijbehorende documentatie, welke gebruikt kan worden als naslagmateriaal. Je denkt mee over het slimmer ontwerpen van onze systemen, het ontwerpen van nieuwe systemen en het standaardiseren van basismodules.
Functie-eisen
• Je beschikt minimaal over een diploma op hbo niveau, richting Werktuigbouwkunde of
Mechatronica;
• Je hebt enkele jaren relevante werkervaring;
• Je hebt ervaring met Solidworks, bij voorkeur in combinatie met PDM professional;
• Je bent vaardig in het ontwerpen van complexe machinerie en systemen;
• Je bent conceptueel sterk en hebt een uitstekend ontwikkeld analytisch denkvermogen;
