Your role

You will help us build the safest, most enjoyable, and overall best motorhome sharing platform in the world. You will be responsible for developing new functionalities for the Camptoo website. On a weekly basis hundreds of people book a vehicle through Camptoo, this is why it's so important everything that the end-to-end booking process is as flawless and frictionless as possible.

Our platform provides value & challenges on many aspects of the customer journey:

  • Customers can find & book a motorhome,
  • They can arrange the transfer of the vehicle fully digitally on the day of departure & return
  • And at the end of their trip, they can handle any claims & damages online as well.

You will help build the front of this challenging system and you'll be able to see how the functionalities you built helps our customers. You'll work in a young team of other react front-enders, full-stackers & product designers with substantial experience. Because of this, you'll be able to learn a lot and have an impact at the same time. We ensure the whole team, including you, can continuously create & deploy value every week.

                  Wat ga je doen?

                  PostNL is becoming a postal tech company. Als Senior Node.js Developer ben je onderdeel van een multidisciplinair Business-IT-team bestaande uit onder andere een Lead Engineer, JavaScript Developers en Solution Consultants. Samen zijn jullie verantwoordelijk voor het bouwen aan het Event Management Platform (EMP). Dit platform verzamelt alle logistieke events, IoT (Internet of Things) waarneming en trends uit het logistieke proces van PostNL. Deze data wordt onder andere gebruikt om te beslissen of ontvangers hun bezorging nog kunnen wijzigen en of er excepties optreden in de uitvoering van onze logistiek. Het Event Management Platform zit in het hart van het nieuwe regie platform van PostNL waarmee we de operationele keten significant verbeteren en nieuwe verdienmodellen en diensten voor de klant mogelijk maken.

                  Binnen het team worden nieuwe software toepassingen hoofdzakelijk gebouwd in JavaScript en wordt gebruik gemaakt van verschillende AWS functionaliteiten als optimale schaalbaarheid. Verder maken we gebruik van Github, JSON, Kafka en NodeRed.

                  Tot jouw taken behoren:

                  • Het vertalen van onze complexe logistieke business processen en vraagstukken mbt bijvoorbeeld ordermanagement, planning, distributie en transport naar bruikbare software oplossingen met JavaScript;
                  • Het zorgen voor optimale schaalbaarheid met behulp van AWS;
                  • Het meedenken over de inzet van nieuwe technieken, verbeteringen en de architectuur;
                  • Je helpt PostNL met het verbeteren en innoveren van alle JavaScript applicatie stacks;
                  • Je ondersteunt je Peers.

                  Wat breng jij mee?

                  • Minimaal 5 jaar ervaring als Node.js Developer, Ontwikkelaar, Programmeur of Engineer;
                  • Ervaring in het analyseren van bedrijfsprocessen, het ontwerpen en bouwen van datagestuurde softwareoplossingen;
                  • Ervaring met Gitub, JSON, SQL en AWS Cloud toepassingen of soortgelijk;
                  • Ervaring in Build-Test-Deploy automatisering: CI/CD-pipelines;
                  • Ervaring met werken volgens de Agile/Scrum principes;
                  • Momenteel woonachtig in Nederland en indien van toepassing in het bezit van de benodigde werkvergunningen;

                    Voor onze klant in Leiden zijn we op zoek naar een:
                    Lead Front-end Developer
                    Kon jij wel wat hulp gebruiken bij het maken van je huiswerk? Had je ondersteuning nodig bij het leren van je examens? Je was zeker niet de enige, maar hoe kom je nu bij de juiste persoon terecht die je bij jouw aandachtspunten kan helpen? Op die vraag hebben 3 studenten van de TU Delft 10 jaar geleden ingespeeld. Nu zijn ze uitgegroeid naar een bedrijf dat op meer dan 100 locaties actief is en waar meer dan honderdduizenden leerlingen gebruik maken van hun diensten. Ze richten zich op het gedeelte van educatie waar de overheid niet in voorziet. De focus ligt op examentraining, bijles en huiswerkbegeleiding. Ze vinden dat iedereen de kans moet krijgen om op een succesvolle manier zijn schoolperiode af te sluiten.
                    Het kantoor is gevestigd in een bedrijven pand tegen station Leiden centraal aan, binnen 4 minuten loop je vanaf de trein zo het kantoor binnen. Op het hoofdkantoor zit een relatief jong team met de gemiddelde leeftijd van 28 jaar. Ze willen zich distantiëren van de corporate bedrijven die met verschillende lagen werken en waar een nieuw idee door verschillende afdelingen moet worden goedgekeurd. Het development team werkt op de 5e verdieping van het pand. Het kantoor is 2 jaar geleden volledig gerenoveerd naar de wensen van de werknemers. Zo is er veel groen op de vloer en hebben ze ook een mooie kroeg war men graag gebruik van maakt. De ontwikkelaars spelen in de lunch of na werktijd graag een potje D&D.
                    Door middel van verschillende mobiele- en webapplicaties zorgen ze er voor dat ze niet alleen online, maar ook offline de beste onderwijs ondersteuner van Nederland blijven. Naast dat je aan deze applicaties ontwikkeld, kan je ook deelnemen aan interne startups waar je jouw ideeën kan pitchen om die vervolgens uit te voeren met het team.
                    Het technisch team bestaat uit 13 developers, 9 back-end developers 2 fullstack developers en 2 front-end developers. Recentelijk hebben ze een grote concurrent overgenomen waardoor het team druk bezig met de migratie. Men is bezig om een slag te maken in de kwaliteit van de code. Keuzes die in het verleden kunnen in sommige gevallen beter.
                    Als Lead Frontend Developer stuur jij samen met de twee andere backend leads het development team aan. De volledige front-end van de applicaties vallen onder jouw verantwoordelijkheid. Vanuit jouw ervaring beslis jij mee over de keuzes die gemaakt worden op architectonisch niveau. Daarnaast kijk jij met een kritische blik naar de huidige code en voer je veranderingen door waar nodig. Er wordt veel met Symfony en Angular gewerkt. Door een overname hebben ze twee projecten in Laravel en Vuejs staan. Verder werk je veel met Ionic. Het is belangrijk dat je hier ervaring mee hebt. Je komt terecht in een dynamische omgeving waar je in scrumteams gebruik maakt van ontwikkelmethodes als Continuous Integration en Continuous Delivery.

                    Medior Javascript Developer
                    Onze klant, opgericht in 2001, maakt deel uit van een grote groep bedrijven die allen gericht zijn op IT in de juridische sector. De oprichters zagen dat werknemers in notariële kantoren vaak te maken hebben met herhalende processen. Uiteraard lenen dit soort processen zich voor automatisering. Omdat de oprichters veel marktkennis hebben houden zij het product gebruiksvriendelijk en weten zij welke behoefte vervuld dient te worden door de eindklant.
                    Het kantoor bevindt zich net buiten Gouda, dicht bij de snelweg maar er stopt ook een bus voor de deur. De werknemers van dit bedrijf zijn een hechte en informele club van 20 professionals. Ondanks de sector waar men in werkt loopt niemand hier in een pak rond en is er weinig hiërarchie op de werkvloer. Men houdt hier van weinig poespas en focust zich op wat echt belangrijk is: de beste software maken.
                    Het product dat onze klant ontwikkelt is een pakket waarmee processen in advocaten- en notariskantoren geautomatiseerd worden. Denk hierbij aan het importeren van gegevens uit databases van de KvK, de GBA, kadaster en rechtbanken maar ook algemene administratie en facturatie. Het product is ontwikkeld in Eclipse en maakt gebruik van het Servoy platform voor de development en deployment, waarin OOP Javascript gebruikt wordt.
                    Omdat er veel vraag is naar webbased software vanuit de markt is men dit jaar begonnen met het product aan te bieden als een SaaS waarvoor een nieuw portaal en mobiele applicatie ontwikkeld wordt. Voor deze nieuwe functionaliteiten worden Node.JS, ReactJS en AngularJS gebruikt.
                    Als Medior Javascript Developer wordt er van je verwacht dat je jouw code volgens het KISS-principe schrijft. Code moet volgens jou simpel en makkelijk te onderhouden zijn. Je gaat gestructureerd te werk en vindt het leuk om nieuwe technologieën te onderzoeken.
                    Voor de Medior Javascript Developer liggen er twee uitdagingen. De eerste uitdaging is het door ontwikkelen van het bestaande product. Tevens zal je betrokken worden in het doorgronden en refactoren van de oude codebase. In de loop der jaren is daar een spaghetti ontstaan die uit elkaar gehaald moet worden en vernieuwd waar nodig.
                    De tweede uitdaging is het meewerken aan de nieuwe mobiele applicatie en het SaaS-portaal. Voor deze nieuwe applicaties is men in Q2 begonnen met het schrijven van de PoC en men verwacht in Q3 te kunnen beginnen met het ontwikkelen.
                    Het team waar je in komt te werken bestaat uit 7 ontwikkelaars. Zij werken onder leiding van de Technisch Directeur en Development Manager.

                    Voor onze klant in Rotterdam zijn wij op zoek naar een:
                    Front-end Developer
                    Drie studenten hadden een bijbaan als privéchauffeur. Toen de eigenaar het bedrijf wilde opheffen, hebben ze dit overgenomen. In 2014 is de focus is gelegd op het maken van een online platform. Deze club is inmiddels uitgegroeid tot een bedrijf van 20 medewerkers die vanuit een mooie herenpand werken aan het platform. Iedereen binnen de organisatie heeft een hart voor de zaak. Er hangt hier een ‘Can do’ mentaliteit. Daarbij staat gezelligheid hoog in het vaandel. Normaliter wordt de week op vrijdag afgesloten met een gezellige borrel.
                    De diensten die worden aangeboden, richten zich voornamelijk op delivery en de logistiek. Denk aan privé chauffeurs, taxi’s, buschauffeurs maar ook regelen ze andere logistieke zaken voor derde partijen. Niet alleen studenten staan bij hen ingeschreven maar ook mensen die zich voor tijdelijke klussen willen aandienen. Een USP is dat je bij hun ook certificeringen kan behalen om dit werk uit te voeren. Momenteel hebben ze rond de 50 klanten en staan er ongeveer 1000 flexwerkers bij hen ingeschreven.
                    Het systeem dat er voor zorgt dat alles dit vloeiend verloopt, is recentelijk volledig opnieuw gebouwd en wordt door een externe club ontwikkelt. Recentelijk hebben ze een mobiele- en een webapp ontwikkeld. Deze bestaan uit twee systemen. Eén voor de klant en één voor de flexwerkers. Dit is volledig in Javascript/Typescript gedaan. De backend is ontwikkeld in Nodejs. Voor de front-end is er voor Reactjs gekozen. De mobiele applicatie is volledig in React Native gebouwd.
                    Omdat ze de technische kennis inhouse willen halen, is men bezig om een intern team van 6 ontwikkelaars op te zetten. Het externe bureau wordt op deze manier langzaam afgeschaald. Het team zal komende te bestaan uit een CTO, een Fullstack Javascript developer, twee Nodejs developers, twee Front-end/ React developers en twee React Native Developers.
                    Als Front-end Developer ga jij het platform verder door ontwikkelen. De architectuur is net opgezet maar niks is in beton gegoten. Natuurlijk denk je mee over de te nemen stappen. Jij houdt van een technische discussie en denkt graag mee over de te nemen beslissingen. Mocht je nog geen ervaring hebben in Typescript dan is dat geen probleem. Wel zoeken ze iemand die ervaring heeft met React. Wanneer je ook thuis bent in React Native is dat een enorme pré. Omdat je de eerste inhouse Front-end Developer wordt zijn de doorgroeimogelijkheden enorm. Dus lijkt het jou leuk om een nieuw platform op te bouwen en mee te groeien binnen een organisatie?
