Dit ga je doen als Data Scientist

Als data scientist bij ENGIE ben je verantwoordelijk voor het ontwikkelen van algoritmes en het beantwoorden van digitale vraagstukken met behulp van data. De basis voor jouw werkzaamheden is relevante data. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het verkrijgen en selecteren van relevante data en het vertalen van deze data naar informatie om betere beslissingen te kunnen nemen, te differentiëren in klantoplossingen, operationele efficiëntie te verbeteren en toekomstige business modellen te ontwikkelen. 

 

De digitale vraagstukken waarmee je aan de slag gaat, hebben betrekking op data waarvan de omvang erg groot en complex is. Data komt real-time binnen en moet vaak real-time toegepast worden. Je benadert vraagstukken vanuit verschillende invalshoeken en komt met diverse mogelijkheden om een probleem op te lossen. Je bent gewend om een grote hoeveelheid aan informatie snel om te zetten in een eenvoudig concept. 

 

In jouw functie als data scientist werk je veel samen met zowel interne als externe stakeholders. Intern zijn dat je collega’s binnen IT zoals solution en domain architecten, maar ook product managers. Jouw externe contacten zijn met name gesprekken met opdrachtgevers. Je maakt deel uit van het Digital Business Center en rapporteert in deze functie aan de Directeur ENGIE Digitaal Nederland. 

 

Dit zijn je belangrijkste taken en verantwoordelijkheden: 

  • Je draagt zorg voor het verkrijgen en ontsluiten van de relevante data.  
  • Je behandelt vraagstukken die leiden tot toegevoegde waarde uit beschikbare data, mitigerende maatregelen of een hogere performance (KPI’s). 
  • Je zorgt voor een professionele ontwikkeling, executie en beheer van algoritmes. Dit doe je op basis van de gewenste IT architectuur, waargenomen trends in de markt en ervaringen uit grote projecten. 
  • Je levert input voor het centrale datamodel. 
  • Je vertaalt complexe materie naar een business context voor ENGIE. 
  • Je werkt samen met verschillende interne en externe partijen voor het verkrijgen van relevante data en het opstellen van predictieve modellen. Beiden met aandacht voor de data kwaliteit en het datamodel.  
  • Je werkt volgens geformuleerde kwaliteitseisen voor producten en diensten. 
  • Je vormt de brug tussen data en de opdrachtgever door het toepassen van onder andere machine learning.  
  • Je volgt de nieuwste ontwikkelingen op het gebied van technologie en processen binnen data science. 

 

Dit breng je mee 

Als data scientist breng je de volgende ervaring en competenties met je mee: 

 

  • een afgeronde WO opleiding in een bèta richting of met een stevige basis in statistiek; 
  • minimaal 5 jaar werkervaring op het gebied van data science; 
  • ruime ervaring in projectmatig werken; 
  • kennis van wiskunde en statistiek, machine learning en optimalisatie algoritmes;  
  • kennis van databases, het inladen van data uit verschillende bronnen (oa SQL), opschonen, verrijken en transformeren van onbewerkte data en toepassen van statistiek met Python/R;  
  • kennis van visualisatiemogelijkheden binnen Python/R; 
  • in staat om duidelijk en to-the-point te communiceren en daarin complexe materie te kunnen vertalen in begrijpelijke boodschappen; 
  • van nature ben je nieuwsgierig, oplossingsgericht en creatief in ideeën en oplossingen die niet altijd voor de hand liggen;  
  • gewend aan zelfstandig werken: van een eigen planning tot afstemming met stakeholders; 
  • competenties als klantgericht, analytisch, integer, resultaatgericht en verantwoordelijk zijn onmisbaar in deze functie;

What do our Marketing internships involve?

As a Digital Marketing intern, you contribute to making sure that our brands appear at the top of all timelines. You will support the Social Media Manager in running all the social campaigns of PepsiCo’s brands within the Netherlands. In addition, you will guard the image of our brands online by making sure that all questions/comments/complaints of our customers are dealt with in the best (and most fun) way possible. Being a Digital Marketing intern, you will also contribute to the content creation process, guard the quality of the posts/campaigns, update the content calendar and brief our agencies. You will be responsible for sharing the social results with the brand teams and during your internship period, you will also have your own projects within the social/digital field that you will run all by yourself with some guidance of your manager.
As a Brand Marketing Food intern, you will act as a spider in the web between sales, category management and marketing and you will support the marketing teams in creation and execution of the best marketing plans for our brands. The Marketing Food department consists of several brands, which means you will get the unique experience of working together with the following brands: Lay’s, Doritos, Duyvis, Quaker, and Snack a Jacks! As a Brand Marketing Food intern, you will assist in creating and executing digital campaigns, supporting the launch of new product introductions, supporting influencer campaigns, writing briefings for creative agencies, and executing below the line activities such as sampling campaigns, consumer promotions, and events.
As a Future Brands intern, you will be closely working together with our colleagues from Sales, Brand Marketing, and Shopper Marketing. In this role, you will report to the Commercial Lead Benelux and as you will be working with both NL and BE markets, you will gain a lot of Benelux experience. The ambition of Future Brands is to deliver 3-4 new brands with a value of over $40mm in the next 5 years. This means that, as a future brands intern, you will get the unique opportunity of building new brands (just like in a start-up), but with the knowledge and support of a big corporate!

Wat ga je doen?

Je wordt opgeleid en ingewerkt op ons brievensorteercentrum. Hier worden duizenden poststukken en pakketten automatisch gesorteerd door onze sorteermachines. Je werkt met verschillende machines en jij en je collega’s van het techniekteam hebben de belangrijke taak om ervoor te zorgen dat onze processen blijven draaien. Je zorgt ervoor dat de machines goed onderhouden worden, (mechanische) onderdelen worden hersteld en vervangen en dat storingen snel en effectief worden opgelost. Dit kan zijn van het weer aan de gang krijgen van een vastgelopen transportband, het updaten van een IT-communicatiesysteem tot de vervanging van elektronische schakelingen. Jij bent degene die instructies geeft aan de medewerkers die met deze machines werken.

Naarmate je voldoende kennis hebt van de verschillende machines en systemen en zelfstandig kunt werken, zal je gaan werken op ons nieuwe gerobotiseerde sorteercentrum.

Als servicetechnicus werk je volgens een rooster in wisselende diensten, waarbij je regelmatig ook ’s avonds en ’s nachts werkt. Kortom, in alle opzichten een afwisselende baan!

Je verdient een salaris tussen € 2.265 - € 3.199 bruto per maand (bij 21 jaar of ouder, op basis van een fulltime werkweek).

Wat breng jij mee?

  • Je bent minimaal 18 jaar.
  • Je hebt een mbo-4 diploma elektrotechniek of werktuigbouwkunde.
  • Je hebt kennis van elektrotechniek en/ of werktuigbouw, computers technieken op maintain- en/of preventniveau en van NEN 3140.

Job Description

Working at our Global Headquarters in Utrecht, as the Quality Specialist, you will be part of the R&DO Consumer, Quality and Technology department. Within this department the Conversion Quality team plays a critical role in developing and implementing quality standards and improvement ideas to assure 100% right first time for the consumer with maximum efficiency.
In your role as Quality Specialist you will be responsible for: 

  • The development and implementation of quality & food safety standards for the JDE Global internal and external manufacturing network
  • Setting the quality standards and training others as part of the JDE Manufacturing Continuous Improvement Program and leading some Quality Pillar activities
  • Benchmarking plant performance with regards to quality deliverables and proactively identifying areas for improvement will be a crucial part of your role
  • Participating in key New Product Development projects and agree quality success criteria linked to compliance, food safety, consumer and customer drivers
  • Interacting across the supply chain, internal and external to JDE and will need to collaborate and influence key stakeholders at different levels of the organization
  • Building robust relationships with all relevant business partners inside and outside R&D, including Operations, Marketing Sales and Procurement
  • Traveling between various manufacturing locations for 30 to 40% of the time
