Your challenge
As an Electronic Hardware Designer you will be designing and developing the hardware for the control and acquisition subsystem for MR products for hospital and outpatient radiology facilities. You will work with a team of electrical hardware (RF, analog, mixed signal) and mechanical engineers, system engineering, manufacturing and service engineers to take products from concept through design into production using sound design approaches to meet the needs of our customers and their demanding environment.

You will be part of the R&D organization in the Business Unit Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) within Philips Healthcare. The Business Unit MRI is a leading supplier for 1st line screening technology in Hospitals. MRI is one of the youngest and most innovative imaging technologies and is growing not only in applications but also in complexity of the system and acquisition techniques. It is the most suitable technology for soft tissue imaging due to its non-invasive nature. Imaging of neurologic and musculoskeletal structures is of key importance for our MRI products. The MRI R&D organization is responsible for hardware and software development including specification, integration, verification, validation and approbation of components from internal and external suppliers. The Data Acquisition System Hardware group develops and maintains MRI control and acquisition systems. The team consists of Analog & Digital Hardware Engineers.
You are responsible for
In this role as Electronic Hardware Designer you will be responsible for the design (models, schematics and layout), realization, integration and verification of Analog and Digital Designs in the MR Acquisition Sub-System on the basis of design specifications in accordance with the functional specifications.
● Deliver high quality hardware design starting from requirements management till introduction in the factory (end to end).
● Actively participate in design maintenance and solving end-of-life issues.
● Document development efforts for the subsystem, component or module, including requirements, specifications, plans, reviews, test procedures, and test reports.
● Coordinate, support and execute product tests to provide a traceable verification of the product.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
● A Bachelor or Master in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
● At least 5 years’ experience in Electronic Hardware development, preferably in a (safety) regulated industry such as medical devices, gas appliances, aviation equipment etc.
Experience in the following:
● Electronic product design throughout the full development cycle (prototype, pre-production, production).
● Electronic Design: Analog mixed signal / DC-DC converters / High speed digital / FPGA / DSP.

This assignment is for an Electrical Engineer (electronic system of opto-mechatronic products) responsible for work in the development of new customer specific products. This person will be a member of core electronics design team. The projects are often different from project to project throughout the year. In each project, this person will be a part of a development team, which would include Electrical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Software Engineers, Systems Engineers and lab technicians. Responsibilities
Product Development:
- Develop innovative and creative electrical system design solutions for lighting products which results in a competitive advantage for the company
- Test, analyze and package LED light solutions from concept or detailed specifications
- Assemble electrical and electronic systems and prototypes according to design engineering or customer input based on knowledge of electrical principles
- Build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical instruments and testing equipment
- Develop and maintain test plans for the electronic components projects
Current Product Improvement:
- Review current product and manufacturing processes for opportunities to improve cost, performance, reliability and manufacturability
- Develop technical documentation including component selection, schematics, Gerber files, etc. for contract manufacturers.
- Analyze and interpret test information to resolve technical issues in current applications.
Research & Development of New Technologies:
- Research and present new technologies that will allow the company to stay on the leading edge of lighting system technology
- Develop, demonstrate and present new lighting solutions for the commercial vehicle industry including interior general illumination, task lighting, accent lighting, backlighting and exterior lighting
- Fully understand the characteristics and measurement techniques of LED products

Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or higher in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in designing electrical systems and solutions with LED sources or automotive lighting
- 3+ years experience design and development of board level electronics circuit design (analog and digital), schematics, component selection and manufacturing.
- Expert skills in client interaction and design support of LED applications
- Analytical skills to identify market trends and opportunities
- Knowledge of Altium, LTspice, Atmel Studio or similar software

What are you going to do?
This position reports into the Process Engineering group under Final Product Technologies. The position will support global supply, new product introductions, partnerships/acquisitions and devices.
This position utilizes physics, engineering and chemistry principles coupled with advanced and diverse materials science understanding and principles to assist in the evaluation, design, qualification and implementation of packaging components and the associated systems such as documentation, equipment and processes.
A strong knowledge of common materials utilized in pharmaceutical packaging is required. Key Material knowledge requirements of the structural components and chemical properties of glass, polymers, adhesives, inks, varnishes and paper is required. Understanding of packaging manufacturing equipment and processes and how materials interact with these is essential to the position.
This role requires entry level management, excellent organizational, project management, technical problem solving and communication (written and verbal) skills, and the ability to work in teams and adapt to rapidly changing environment.
As a specialist you are responsible and accountable for the following:
- Evaluation, recommendation and selection of new packaging materials for both large and small molecules product.
- Supports complex investigations relating to materials, recommending and implementing solutions
- Write test protocols, perform technical evaluations and submitting technical
assessment reports to justify the use of selected materials.

For our client in Breda, a leading pharmaceutical company, we search for a Process Engineer. This position reports into the Process Engineering group under Final Product Technologies . The position will support global supply, new product introductions, partnerships/acquisitions and devices.
This position utilizes physics, engineering and chemistry principles coupled with advanced and diverse materials science understanding and principles to assist in the evaluation, design, qualification and implementation of packaging components and the associated systems such as documentation, equipment and processes.
A strong knowledge of common materials utilized in pharmaceutical packaging is required. Key Material knowledge requirements of the structural components and chemical properties of glass, polymers, adhesives, inks, varnishes and paper is required. Understanding of packaging manufacturing equipment and processes and how materials interact with these is essential to the position.
This role requires entry level management, excellent organizational, project management, technical problem solving and communication (written and verbal) skills, and the ability to work in teams and adapt to rapidly changing environment.
This specialist is responsible and accountable for the following:
- Evaluation, recommendation and selection of new packaging materials for both large and small molecules product.
- Supports complex investigations relating to materials, recommending and implementing solutions
- Write test protocols, perform technical evaluations and submitting technical assessment reports to justify the use of selected materials.
- Write Technical Specifications
- Representing Final Product Technologies as required
- Technology transfer from clinical to commercial or from site to site for packaging components and equipment processes
-Write tech transfer plans and reports
-Establish priorities to ensure all projects are managed within expected due dates
Lead and present new packaging ideas, concepts and design ideas to the Product Development team.
- Ensures cGMP and regulatory compliance are met
- Ensures that change control procedures are followed working with QA and Regulatory to implement changes
- Participants in Pre-Approval Inspections (PAI) and interact with regulatory bodies (e.g., FDA, EMEA, etc) as needed
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams (i.e. Research, QA/QC, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Manufacturing, Regulatory, etc.) in pre-commercial and commercial activities.
Basic Qualifications
* Doctorate degree
OR
* Master's degree & 3 years of directly related experience
OR
* Bachelor's degree & 5 years of directly related experience
Preferred Qualifications
- MS in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or packaging Engineering
- 7 or more years of packaging materials experience with 4+ years within the Pharma/Bio industry

Education

Experience

You have knowledge of complex production processes, preferably in a high tech, low volume environment;
You have knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, process optimization, statistical process control, FMEA, Quality Management Systems and Q-methods/techniques;
Knowledge and experience with SAP and MS office;
