De designers en developers van Humanoids werken op het snijvlak van design en tech. Daar ontwerpen en bouwen we graag aan complexe digitale producten. We zijn open voor talent en verwelkomen 2x per jaar academici in onze trainingsprogramma's. We trainen hen samen.
Achtergrond
Bij Humanoids willen wij een team van specialisten bouwen van de hoogste kwaliteit. Daarom bieden we traineeships waar we al onze specialistische vakkennis in hebben gegoten, speciaal voor academici. We selecteren streng en doen met de nieuwe generatie UX designers, front-end en back-end developers het kenniswerk van de toekomst.
Er is nog steeds een kloof tussen de universiteit en de tech industrie. Voornamelijk omdat universiteiten (en zelfs technische universiteiten zoals de TU Delft) niet genoeg praktische vaardigheden trainen en niet werken met de technieken en methoden die in de markt actueel zijn. In principe begin je, ondanks je vooraanstaande opleiding, met een grote achterstand aan je werkzame leven. Veel bedrijven aarzelen om je in dienst te nemen en maken de gemakkelijke keuze voor iemand met een 'applied sciences' graad of 1 jaar ervaring. Wij vinden dit volstrekt oneerlijk voor studenten en niet erg slim van bedrijven. Er is een groot tekort aan talent, dat in zekere zin door de markt zelf in stand wordt gehouden. Bij Humanoids investeren we ontzettend veel in onze mensen, omdat we ervan overtuigd zijn dat de kwaliteit van ons bedrijf begint bij de specialisten.
Situatie
Humanoids biedt UX design, front-end development en java traineeships. Wij krijgen, ieder half jaar weer, ontzettend veel aanmeldingen (de laatste keer 100+) en kunnen in een gespannen arbeidsmarkt hard groeien. Ter indicatie: de afgelopen 3 jaar zijn we ruim 500% gegroeid tot rond de 20 professionals. We opereren in ons vakgebied op het hoogste niveau en doen ons werk met een groep hele slimme mensen. In onze vestigingen in Rotterdam (Groot Handelsgebouw) en Amsterdam (Herengracht).
We hebben de afgelopen tijd mooie opdrachtgevers aangehaakt als Lely Industries, Koppert Biological Systems, Port of Rotterdam, ING Bank en Heineken. En zijn we lid geworden van de vooraanstaande Dutch Digital Agencies branche organisatie. Met andere woorden: we zijn lekker bezig en bieden kwalitatief hoogstaande dienstverlening die erkend wordt. We willen echter vérder. En daarvoor willen we graag nog meer commerciële slagkracht in huis halen.
We hebben de corona crisis tot dusver glansrijk doorstaan en willen de fase hierna stevig doorpakken. We maken onszelf op dit moment klaar voor het starten van weer 3 lichtingen UX en development traineeships. Met andere woorden: we willen onze kansen in 2021 maximaal benutten en onze groei in hetzelfde tempo doorzetten.

As well as customer facing, developing business intelligence into business plans and commercial roadmaps is an integral part of your responsibility. As our new Business Development Manager you are Airborne’s representative towards the industry and you are well connected within the composites industry. The markets we operate in are aerospace, transport, renewables and marine, and other industries where high-end composites are used. For this vacancy, we are seeking BDM to develop opportunities outside the aerospace market.
Our objective is to become a dominant player in automated and digital manufacturing of advanced composites, working with major players such as raw material suppliers (Material Science), OEM’s and technology providers. Our aim is not to ‘just supply a machine’ but to provide and implement novel approaches for composite manufacturing that create breakthrough changes in manufacturing cost and robustness.
For this position we are looking for a self-starter, someone with passion, creativity and entrepreneurial flair to make your own destiny. You are customer oriented, with the mindset of a marketeer, not just selling what we have, but able to
understand our customer’s needs and how do we help them in their aspirations. You can develop new markets for Airborne, scout opportunities that fit with our capabilities and develop a go-to-market strategy. And you are capable in translating these customer and market insights to the technical team to drive future developments..
Direct business development experience in composites is a must and you have a wide view on the different end markets. You have demonstrable experience of complex B2B selling with multiple stakeholders, and you are able to understand how to build a business case to convince all levels from operators to CFO and in between.
Furthermore, you possess all normal characteristics of a sales person, warm, friendly, easy to talk to, someone you want a beer with, but you won’t lose track of the final goal, sales conversion.
