What are you going to do as an Electro Mechanical Designer?
As an Electro Mechanical Designer you find it a challenge to be at the beginning of the design of electro-technical / electro-mechanical modules / machines for our clients. You will be part of the Electromechanics team within the Design & Engineering department and participate in an internal project team. This means that you are the link between the project leader, architect and other team members. Together with about 35 fellow designers, you are responsible for the electromechanical part of the solution that we produce for and in consultation with our clients. You communicate with the customers in the context of assignments and are regularly work at the site of our customer. By asking the right questions you will get the customer's wishes to the surface so that we can produce a solution that meets the customer's needs as closely as possible. Questions such as which materials are to be used and which production techniques are to be used are matters that are dealt with on a daily basis. In this position you will also work together with the Mechanical and Embedded System team.
Your tasks also include the following:
  • drawing and reviewing module specifications together with the customer;
  • converting the data supplied by the external or internal client into 3D models and production designs;
  • independently designing, implementing, testing and documenting hardware (electro-technical / electro-mechanical) using state-of-the-art methods;
  • developing testing and tools;
  • assisting in the production of the developed products;
  • drawing up and monitoring schedules;
  • communicate with customers whether or not focused on an ongoing project and expanding the customer network;
  • transferring knowledge and experience gained to colleagues.

What do we ask of you as an Electro Mechanical Designer?
First of all, you are communicative and sociable. You know how to maintain good contacts with your customer, colleagues and suppliers and you know what is going on with the various parties. You have a broad interest in technology and have knowledge of electronics, mechatronics and production techniques. It goes without saying that you keep up to date with the developments in your field and apply this knowledge adequately when advising customers. You are solution-oriented and able to work both as a team and independently. It goes without saying that you are neat and accurate in your work and that your production designs are made as optimally as possible.
Furthermore, you bring:
  • an Higher/Academic degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics;
  • good knowledge and experience with MS Office Word and Excel;
  • experience with Siemens NX or another 3D design package is an advantage;
  • good communication and writing skills in Dutch and English;
  • willingness to do your work on location at the customer;
  • available fulltime.

What are you going to do as a Hardware Designer?
As Hardware Designer you will be part of the operational group within Neways Technologies and the Embedded Systems department. Together with your colleagues you will be responsible for the electronics part of the solutions: systems or products, which we develop and produce for and in consultation with our customers. In your position you fulfil an intermediary role between the customer and the department and frequent customer contact is a must. By asking the right questions you get the customer's wishes to the surface so that we can offer a solution that meets the customer's needs as closely as possible. From your professional adult role you are able to manage juniors in addition to your own work and teach them the tricks of the trade.
In this position, you will be working on a variety of projects in a project-based manner, with a wide variety of projects falling within your work package. You can think of projects within the automotive, industry, medical or semiconductor industry. Together with the project leader, you coordinate the planning and discuss the progress and deviations within the project and you are the one who draws the content of the project.

Hoe ziet jouw functie eruit?
Als Lead Designer maak je onderdeel uit van de afdeling Mechanical Engineering. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het opstellen van specificaties van mechanische systemen of producten die we voor en in samenspraak met onze klanten ontwikkelen en produceren. Jij verzorgt de review met de klant en vervult een intermediairrol tussen de klant, toeleverancier en afdeling. Door het stellen van de juiste vragen op mechanisch gebied krijg je de klantwensen boven tafel zodat we een oplossing kunnen bieden die maximaal aansluit bij de klantbehoefte. Je bent in staat om naast je eigen werk ook een aantal junioren aan te sturen en hen de kneepjes van het vak te leren. Je bent aanspreekpunt voor projectmanagement voor de algehele projectafwikkeling door de leiding te nemen voor het mechanical team. Daarnaast ben je aanspreekpunt voor de system architecten voor de technische afwikkeling. In deze functie werk je samen met de Elektro Mechanical en Embedded Systems teams.
Tot je taken behoren verder:
  • Het zelfstandig ontwerpen, uitwerken, implementeren, testen en documenteren van werktuigbouwkundige constructies en (delen van) equipment;
  • Vakinhoudelijke/technische begeleiding en invulling van toegewezen project(en) waarbij gelet wordt op kwaliteit, kosten en planning;
  • Assisteren bij het in productie nemen van de ontwikkelde producten;
  • Op de hoogte zijn en blijven van (productie)technologie en kennisoverdracht naar collega's;
  • Aanbevelingen doen om het kwaliteitssysteem te verbeteren;
  • Kwaliteitszorg in projecten en studies conform het kwaliteitssysteem.

Wat vragen we van jou?
Allereerst ben communicatief en sociaalvaardig. Je weet zowel met je klant, collega's en leveranciers goede contacten te onderhouden en weet wat er speelt bij de verschillende partijen. Je bent in staat om in teamverband te werken, maar ook zelfstandig kun je je functie prima vervullen. Het spreekt voor zich dat je netjes en accuraat bent in je werk en dat je ontwerpen zo optimaal mogelijk en nauwkeurig gemaakt zijn. Verder vragen we:
  • Een afgeronde HBO-/WO-opleiding in de richting van werktuigbouwkunde, mechatronica of vergelijkbaar;
  • 5 tot 10 jaar relevante werkervaring als bijvoorbeeld mechanisch ontwerper, engineer, constructeur of product development engineer;
  • Leidinggevende ervaring is een pre;
  • Kennis op het gebied van spuitgiet- en diecast ontwerp technieken;
  • Kennis van shielding, afdichting en robuustheid van producten toepasbaar in relatief extreme situaties;
  • Ervaring met NX of een ander 3D ontwerppakket;
  • Goede communicatieve en schriftelijke vaardigheden in het Nederlands en Engels.

Wat is jouw uitdaging als Bouwkundig Adviseur?
Als medior of senior bouwkundig adviseur help je architectenbureaus, projectontwikkelaars en aannemers om hun bouwprojecten succesvol te laten verlopen. Met de inzet van jouw kennis en ervaring op gebied van bouw wet- en regelgeving zorg je dat hun bouwplannen voldoen aan het bouwbesluit. Met jouw adviezen en ondersteuning worden de ontwerpen van de andere partijen beter en verloopt het vergunningsproces soepeler. Je bent voor veel relaties een belangrijke sparringpartner als het gaat om de regelgeving en het bedenken van praktische en goede oplossingen.

  • Bouwbesluittoetsingen en BENG-berekeningen.
  • De opdrachtgever adviseren over bouw wet- en regelgeving, energie efficiënte installaties en bouwkundige ontwerpen.
  • Adviseren over geluidwering intern en extern.
  • Gebouwen beoordelen op brandveiligheid in de praktijk en het maken van brandoverslagberekeningen en vuurlastberekeningen.
  • Adviseren over stikstofuitstoot bij bouwwerken.
  • De hoeveelheid daglicht in een gebouw inzichtelijk maken via een 3D daglichtsimulatie.
  • Producten controleren op het gevraagde kwaliteitsniveau.

Wie ben jij?

Je hebt verstand van de bouw wet- en regelgeving en affiniteit met brandveiligheid. Je weet het overzicht te bewaren. Jij bent op je plek als je samen met de klant tot de beste oplossing komt. Je denkt graag mee over passend advies en gebruikt jouw creativiteit om in te spelen op klantwensen. Your challenge

Your team

The Test and Verification Engineering team is part of the Reliability Solutions department of Philips Innovation Services and is a diverse group of more than 35 technical experts.

All have extensive experience in the field of test and verification strategy definition, requirement engineering and/or test automation and are actively supporting complex, innovative projects for our customers from both internal Philips businesses, as well as, external companies, located all over the world.

Wat ga je doen?

Als Test Engineer, Test Automation Engineer of Testcoördinator ben je verantwoordelijk voor het optimaliseren van de kwaliteit van nieuw gebouwde of gewijzigde applicaties/systemen voor of bij onze gerenommeerde klanten.
