As Site Head of EHS at Teva Haarlem, you will champion a sustainable EHS culture to ensure employee Safety & Health and to protect the Environment, in order to enable compliant operations and business effectiveness.
You will support us on our journey, producing our generic medicines, complex sterile products and dedicated cancer treatments.
+ Provide guidance to the site to ensure compliance with all legal, EHS and other requirements.
+ Identify EHS risks and define proactive mitigations. Ensure that site investment and changes in processes, equipment and systems are carried out in accordance with the concepts of EHS by design, relevant EHS requirements and cGMP.
+ In collaboration with the site leadership team coordinate, implement, monitor and update the site EHS plan.
+ Provide necessary information and data to site managers and supervisors, Global EHS and other internal and external stakeholders, in order to support the achievement of EHS objectives and enhance Teva’s reputation.
+ Create and maintain an EHS culture throughout the site that inspires a proactive attitude, embed EHS in daily operations and leadership and a firm belief that ‘target zero’ is achievable. Create a space where people can speak openly and are encouraged to present new ideas about EHS stewardship.
+ Develop and implement training programs, provide coaching, expertise and guidance to managers and employees of the site.
+ Lead continuous improvement in EHS using Operational Excellence principles and visible-felt leadership to achieve 'target zero' goals and to enable compliant operations and business effectiveness.
+ Identify, recruit, develop and retain qualified EHS professionals to provide EHS services to the site. Implement managerial practices to ensure the EHS team’s high performance.
+ Serve as an influential member of theSite Leadership Team, who impacts decision making and takes an active role in promoting cross-site initiatives, team work and collaboration across site functions.
+ Bring TEVA global best practices into the site and actively share the site perspective, knowledge and lessons learned to contribute and support a best-in-class professional level of EHS globally.
+ Develop trusted and proactive relationships with regulatory agencies, local community and external suppliers to promote compliance and social responsibility, in Teva's business interest.
+ Master's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
+ Degree in safety/industrial hygiene/ergonomics/environment or their professional certifications would be advantageous.
+ Circa 10 years’ practical experience with site EHS programs in a highly regulated environment.
+ Strong team leadership and stakeholder management experience, in a senior manager role.
+ Strong influencer, change manager and/or experience in improving company (safety) culture.
+ Expert knowledge of EHS best practices.
+ Demonstrates knowledge of local current and upcoming legislation.
+ Demonstrates trusted and proactive relationships with regulatory agencies.
+ Preferably, a working knowledge of cGMP requirements for products, processes and systems.
+ Customer focus and ability to adjust plans to the changing needs of customers.
+ A broad perspective and understanding of the site business and processes and translates this into EHS terms (and vice versa) e.g. Annual EHS plan.
+ A demonstrated track record of leading, coaching and developing high performing teams.
+ Knowledge of OPEX principles and tools.
+ Written & verbal proficiency in Dutch & English.
