The HR Business Partner supports Directors and Manager in his/her dedicated region on strategical and tactical HR matters. He/She leverages people management tools and resources to align with business goals and its associated HR strategic priorities. You'll work directly with regional business leadership to understand their business and needs, focusing on Key HR processes, implementing and /or customizing HR Polices and Programs, talent management, leadership development and facilitating alignment of HR initiatives through partnership with the entire European HR group. You will translate business needs into the right HR interventions, drive and embed EU wide or Global HR processes and standards in the business. Effective meeting facilitation and communications skills will be critical to your success in this role.
Responsibilities:
Act as an advisor to regional management and key stakeholders on full spectrum of HR (how to engage and enable employees to perform), excluding HR payroll and administrative matters
Execute CHR People strategy, plan, initiate and provide for specific local HR needs
Drive and execute regional HR initiatives
Be employees 'confidant' supporting employees in the region to ensure their well-being and address any concerns
Drive and facilitate performance management, talent management, employee development and succession planning
Redirect managers and employees to right HR specialists according to business needs. Drive efficient use of HR services.
Translate local employment market trends into advice and actions
Consult with leaders on current state of the organization and its people and development needs. Help leaders identify desired future state and appropriate solution to take action
Provide day to day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
Coach leadership on people management skills and responsibilities, challenge them and act as their sounding board
Develop and propose regional policies and practices, fitting overall HR strategy
Drives regional acquisitions, reorganizations and restructuring, opening/closing of offices
Gives Compensation guidance in the region; Understands local pay market. Support EU wide Benchmark projects
Lead cross country relocations process: partner with COEs to assist international employees with expatriate assignments and related global mobility items
Advise leaders and line management on the more complex individual HR related topics such as terminations, onboarding, health and safety, performance, relocation, integrity, compliance, disciplinary, talents, promotions, long term illness case-guidance
Understand or research local benefits, contracts with vendors, negotiating costs and signing contracts
Partner closely with all HR functions to leverage specialists on business needs (Talent Acquisition, L&D, SSC and other HR Business Partners)
Drive Employee Engagement through management involvement (improve working relationships, morale, decrease retention...); Supports regional action planning following employee surveys
Drive and facilitate CHR culture. Draft and issues regional HR communications
Partner with legal department as needed/required
Ensure regional Health & Safety compliance and drive local H&S well-being initiative
May lead or participate in cross-functional HR Project teams
Required Qualifications:
Proficient in Dutch and English (nice to have: one other European language, preferably German, Spanish or Italian)
8 years of relevant HR experience
Bachelor/Master degree
Demonstrated consulting skills
In depth knowledge of labor laws and experience with legal processes
Strong communication skills and experience in building relationships with peers and senior leaders
Strategic orientation, influencing skills and business and cultural savvy
Strong analytical, problem solving/critical thinking skills
Manage multiple conflicting priorities
Excellent verbal, written and presentation/communication proficiency
Travel may be required up to 10% of time
Solid understanding and experience with (implementation of) HR systems and tools
