Available position Mechanical Engineer Available position Mechanical Engineer 9 November 2020 We’re looking for a creative and solution-oriented mechanical engineer with a preference for making CAD designs. In addition you have a hands-on mentality that you use for checking or measure the ordered mechanical parts. You will be working for projects in both the High Energy Optics and Remote Sensing multidisciplinary teams, where you will be responsible for the design of mechanical parts. You work closely together with colleagues to ensure that you’re design results in the implementation of mechanical parts in our facilities or in our products. Your challenge is to ensure a successful design, order and measurement of mechanical parts for our internal and external customers. You start this from a concept and with an eye for quality, safety and lead time. Skills and qualifications A master’s degree in mechanical engineering Practical knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes Knowledge and experience in mechanical design and modeling, including experience with CAD softwares (for instance Solidworks) Practical knowledge of a CMM device Theoretical knowledge and experience with finite element analysis, including experience with softwares (for instance Abaqus) Specific knowledge of structural dynamics and mechanical stress can be an advantage Ability to speak and write English fluently in a professional working environment We offer A full-time job in a dynamic and international setting where you can combine your engineering skills with highly innovative technology and applications, with good and flexible working conditions.
