Analyst/Associate - Credit Analyst - North Westerly CLOs
Credit Analyst. To analyse and assess broadly syndicated leveraged loan opportunities as prospective assets for the funds managed by NIBC Credit Management (CLOs and Segregated Managed Accounts). Also to monitor and manage an existing portfolio of loans.
The individual will work within a very close-knit team, be given a high degree of individual responsibility and have involvement in all aspects of the business.
Broadly syndicated leveraged loans (primarily North West European and North American)
High yield bonds
Analyse and assess new lending opportunities and make recommendations
Screen potential investments in the primary and secondary markets, performing detailed credit analysis and due diligence (incl. financial modelling, legal doc review and ESG assessment) in order to prepare detailed credit papers
Manage internal credit approval process (incl. presenting to credit committee)
Monitor performance of existing exposures across various sectors
Take day-to-day responsibility for an existing portfolio of names within the CLOs and Managed Accounts.
Analyse recent company results. Prepare and present monthly/quarterly reviews.
Maintain macro view and monitor trends and developments within the industry sectors relevant to existing/prospective portfolio investments.
Make trading recommendations to buy/sell/hold portfolio assets based on events, performance trends or relative value considerations.
Assess waiver and amendment requests, and where necessary, manage restructurings.
As and when required, present sector view and views on specific portfolio names to (prospective) CLO and Managed Account investors.
Competencies, Knowledge and Skills
Graduate with an advanced level of financial understanding
2-5 years’ experience of broadly syndicated European leveraged finance – Credit analyst role
Practical and business-minded

Excellent time management / meeting deadlines / multi-tasking
Highest standards of professional conduct – always mindful of responsibilities towards investors
Team player – comfortable taking on varied and wide-ranging responsibilities

Microsoft Office skills
Buy-side experience (CLO / Loan fund / High Yield)
Professional qualification (CFA, ACA etc)
